MF Series- High Efficiency
The MF Series also comes in a High Efficiency version. The manufacturer estimates it is 20%-30% more efficient than the standard version of that furnace. They have all the same features as the standard version plus
Additional(secondary) fan that injects air into the firebox on top of the fire. This fresh air mixes with the gases coming off the top of the fire and then they burn again. This secondary burn provides a cleaner more efficient burn and more heat transfer to the water jacket
Triple Bypass Chamber Clean out. This increases the length of time that it takes for the gases to exit the furnace and allows for greater exchange of heat to the water jacket because the hot gas is inside the furnace longer. This also allows the remaining gas to burn up more in the hot chamber as it make it's way to the chimney. The heat and smoke going out the chimney are therefore reduced.
There is an auger port added to the back of the unit.This allows for the addition of the optional auger to allow the automatic feeding of coal into the furnace.
Includes a grate cover plate to cover the front sets of grates to create a proper
"burn pot" for the coal at the back of the furnace under the auger port.
